DESCRIPTION:The Fargo Marathon Cyclothon is back for 2021! This year\, we’re moving it to SATURDAY MORNING – ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FARGO MARATHON!  \nWe know that not everyone likes to run\, but there are a lot of folks that like to ride their bike. The Fargo Marathon Cyclothon is the perfect way for you to be able to participate in the Fargo Marathon week of festivities\, feel the energy of the excitement from all of the participants\, and do it while on your bicycle! \nThe Cyclothon will happen on SATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 18TH\, and start at 8:00 AM for the 15 mile and 8:30 AM for the 26.2 mile. The races will start and finish at the Buffalo Wild Wings just off of 19th Avenue North in North Fargo. The courses will be a nice loop of North Fargo\, Harwood\, and Moorhead\, circling back to the finish line at BWW. Every finisher will receive an official Fargo Cyclothon shirt and finisher’s medal. \nMake sure to stop at Buffalo Wild Wings just across the street after the race! They will be hosting an ‘after party’!

DESCRIPTION:The Borealis Fat Bike World Championships p/b Pure Fuel is in its seventh year\, and we are excited to announce the City of New Richmond will be hosting this year’s event.  The race events will take place at New Richmond Golf Course and New Richmond Nature Center. New Richmond Golf Course is one of Wisconsin’s premier and most challenging golf courses located just 30 miles Northeast of St. Paul in beautiful Northwestern Wisconsin. Both offer scenic trail systems along river beds\, winding through forests\, up and down hills and valleys with amazing views.  Planning is underway for FBW 2022 which is certain to include a kickoff party on Friday\, January 28\, followed by many activities for racers and families\, amazing food and beverages\, live music\, and a list of spectacular attractions to check out in the area. On Saturday\, January 29\, we head to the New Richmond Golf Course / Nature Center Trails for the annual throw down of fatties on the scenic trail system.  Yeah\, it’s a race\, and some serious athletes show up to race for the title of World Champion! Plenty of people\, however\, also wear costumes\, shoot whiskey and eat bacon on course\, check out the vendors\, drink some beer or bourbon\, listen to the band\, and watch people slay laps on some killer trails and jumps. It’s for all types of riders\, from the racer to the first timer\, with categories and laps for each. More than anything\, Fat Bike Worlds is about riding fatties and chilling with a group of awesome people! The Birkie groomers are some of the best in the world and have the goal of providing a firm surface to ride on for the races. However\, we cannot control the weather and the course conditions can vary widely\, from hard packed to soft powder. Just like in the Birkie Ski race\, Fat Bike Birkie participants are free to choose different equipment based on the conditions of the course. We recommend that participants be prepared to race in any course condition\, on a bike equipped with at least 3.5 inch wide tires. \nE-bikes are not allowed for any event of the Fat Bike Birkie.

DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Pro Cup Mountain Bike Series is returning to Fayetteville\, Arkansas for the third consecutive year with four jam-packed days of cross-country mountain biking racing\, qualifiers\, and classes for all levels. The action happens at Centennial Park this spring\, April 12th-16th\, 2023! \nThe road to Paris runs through Fayetteville\, Arkansas this year\, where Olympic hopefuls will gather for the opportunity to score heaps of valuable qualifying points at the 2023 U.S. Pro Cup. Though stakes are high for those looking to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics\, this UCI sanctioned event will feature 4 days of competition and fun for beginners\, amateurs\, and professional riders alike! With events taking place over a five-day period\, particpants can look forward to a stacked schedule of cross-country and short track cross-country races. There will even be classes for all ages and abilities offered so that anyone in the community can get in on the cycling action. \nThe inaugural event was held over back to back weekends in April of 2021 – and featured a majority of Team USA in attendance ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 2022 U.S. Pro Cup race in Fayetteville\, AR built on that legacy\, and organizers expect the same from this year’s event as the only hors categorie UCI XCO (officially sanctioned cross-country mountain bike race) in North America for 2023. This year’s races will superbly highlight the deep field of US and international riders headed to Fayetteville to compete\, a group composed partly of past and future Olympians\, national champions\, and international titlists.

DESCRIPTION:Beginning in 1983 with only 27 cyclists\, Chequamegon has now grown to become one of the more revered off-road MTB festivals in the country. \nIn a unique attempt to hatch a post-season tourist draw to the area Telemark employees Tom Kelly\, Dan Hunt\, Mike Cooper and Phil VanValkenberg and Phil Rasmussen of the Lakewoods Resort brainstormed the idea of a bicycle race on the American Birkebeiner ski trail. \nThe Chequamegon MTB Festival was born as a featured point-to-point 40 mile off road event from Main Street Hayward\, WI to Lakewoods Resort in Cable. Contrary to popular belief\, Gary Crandall\, aka “The Fatman” and soon to be long time event director\, did not dream up the event concept\, however he did race in it the first year and finished a very respectable 12th. Admittedly there were only 27 riders but not bad for his first off-road race. \nIf ever there was a case of the right people\, in the right place\, at the right time\, coming up with the right idea\, this was it. Mountain bikes were coming into popularity\, the American Birkebeiner trail offered a challenging race course\, accommodations and volunteers were plentiful\, and it doesn’t get any more beautiful than Northern Wisconsin in mid-September. The originators thought it couldn’t miss and 25 years later it is clear that they were right
