We are so excited to have one of our favorite bridges\, the High Bridge\, back on a race course! DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Pro Cup Mountain Bike Series is returning to Fayetteville\, Arkansas for the third consecutive year with four jam-packed days of cross-country mountain biking racing\, qualifiers\, and classes for all levels. The action happens at Centennial Park this spring\, April 12th-16th\, 2023! \nThe road to Paris runs through Fayetteville\, Arkansas this year\, where Olympic hopefuls will gather for the opportunity to score heaps of valuable qualifying points at the 2023 U.S. Pro Cup. Though stakes are high for those looking to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics\, this UCI sanctioned event will feature 4 days of competition and fun for beginners\, amateurs\, and professional riders alike! With events taking place over a five-day period\, particpants can look forward to a stacked schedule of cross-country and short track cross-country races. There will even be classes for all ages and abilities offered so that anyone in the community can get in on the cycling action. \nThe inaugural event was held over back to back weekends in April of 2021 – and featured a majority of Team USA in attendance ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 2022 U.S. Pro Cup race in Fayetteville\, AR built on that legacy\, and organizers expect the same from this year’s event as the only hors categorie UCI XCO (officially sanctioned cross-country mountain bike race) in North America for 2023. This year’s races will superbly highlight the deep field of US and international riders headed to Fayetteville to compete\, a group composed partly of past and future Olympians\, national champions\, and international titlists.

Riders test their skill and endurance on the professionally groomed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail! \nTHREE events to choose from: The Big Fat 47K\, The Half Fat 21K\, and the un-timed Fun Fat 10K Tour – there is something for every rider! \nThere are no restrictions on the specific tire size allowed. The Birkie groomers are some of the best in the world and have the goal of providing a firm surface to ride on for the races. However\, we cannot control the weather and the course conditions can vary widely\, from hard packed to soft powder. Just like in the Birkie Ski race\, Fat Bike Birkie participants are free to choose different equipment based on the conditions of the course. We recommend that participants be prepared to race in any course condition\, on a bike equipped with at least 3.5 inch wide tires. \nE-bikes are not allowed for any event of the Fat Bike Birkie.

Skijoring is a team sport which allows both human and canine counterparts to exercise and enjoy the great outdoors. \nSkijoring is derived from the Norwegian word skikjøring meaning ski driving. The sport has been around for hundreds of years and originally started using reindeer and wooden skis. The sport also uses horses\, but dogs are now the most common animals used in skijoring. \nMost medium size dogs (30 pounds and up) who are trained properly can be candidates for skijoring.

SUMMARY:Children's Youth Run/Expo & Packet Pickup
DESCRIPTION:As we prepare to celebrate 18 years of Rockin’ and Runnin’ in the 2022 Fargo Marathon\, Thursday\, May 19th\, we also celebrate our youth runners who are celebrating 17 years with us! In 2005\, about 100 kids lined up at the bike path along the Red River on a Friday night to kick off the very first event of the inaugural Fargo Marathon. Fast forward to our Youth Run in 2016\, and we had over 2\,800 kids who took part in the Fargo Marathon Youth Run! \nThe 2022 Youth Run will feature two different distances: 1/2 mile and 1 mile featuring the thrills and excitement of TNT Fitness – who help prepare the kids with fun music and stretches & warm ups and get them ready to run! The race is open to all children 12 and under. Parents/Guardians are welcome to run alongside their children or push them in a stroller\, if necessary. The different age groups will start in waves so congestion is kept to a minimum. Safety is our first priority! All kids will finish inside a secured\, fenced-in area. \nPacket pickup for the youth run will be held on May 19 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Then we have a run/walk for you\, too! \nIntroduced at the 2016 Fargo Marathon event\, the FurGo Dog Run\, sponsored by NutriSource\, was an instant success with dogs and dog owners\, alike! Over 400 participants took on the 1.5-mile course with a canine and loved it! \nJoin us on Tuesday\, May 17\, at 6:30 p.m. as we shoot for 500 participants (that will be something to bark about!). Complete with your doggy goody bag\, finisher’s shirt\, finisher’s medal\, and your dog’s very own finisher’s medal\, it’s an event you will not want to miss! This race often fills up fast\, so be sure to register early! \n\nPacket pickup will be at the Fargodome on the South side on Tuesday\, May 17th from 12:00 PM until 5:30 PM.\nThe FurGo Dog Run is a ‘time yourself’ event. We will have a clock at the finish line for you.\nA portion of the proceeds will be donated to our local homeless animal shelters/rescues: Homeward Animal Shelter\, Diamond in the Ruff & For Love of Dog Rescue!

DESCRIPTION:The Fargo Marathon Cyclothon is back for 2022!   \nWe know that not everyone likes to run\, and there are a lot of folks that like to ride their bike. The Fargo Marathon Cyclothon is the perfect way for you to be able to participate in the Fargo Marathon week of festivities\, feel the energy of the excitement from all of the participants\, and do it while on your bicycle!  \nThe Cyclothon will happen on MONDAY\, MAY 16\, and start at 6:30 p.m. for both the 15-mile and 26.2-mile. The races will start and finish at the Buffalo Wild Wings just off of 19th Avenue North in North Fargo. The courses will be a nice loop of North Fargo\, Harwood\, and Moorhead\, circling back to the finish line at BWW. Every finisher will receive an official Fargo Cyclothon shirt and finisher’s medal.  \nMake sure to stop at Buffalo Wild Wings just across the street after the race! They will be hosting an ‘after party’!

DESCRIPTION:Junior Birkie\nhe Junior Birkie is for Junior skiers that are ready to race! \nIndividual Races\nThe event starts behind the Hayward Intermediate and Primary Schools and finishes at the American Birkebeiner Finish Line on Main Street in Hayward. There are two race distances for the different Junior Birkie age groups\, see table below. The first 350 participants will get a Junior Birkie hat. \nTeam Sprint Relays\nThe Junior Birkie Team Sprint Relays will start and finish in downtown Hayward on the American Birkebeiner Finish Line! \nBarnebirkie Youth Ski Tour\nNon-Competitive Ski Tour for Youth Ages 3 to 13 Years Old\nThis is where Birkie Dreams begin! Imagine nearly 1000 kids skiing on Main Street to the iconic finish line of the American Birkebeiner!  Kids can choose to ski either a 1/2 km\, 1 km or 3 km course. \nIf you are looking for a competitive experience for youth\, consider participating in the Junior Birkie race which will be held on the same course following the Barnebirkie. \nThe first 900 participants at bib pickup will receive a Barnebirkie hat!
