DESCRIPTION:As one of the most well known mountain bike races on earth\, getting into the Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB has always been difficult. LT100 MTB Qualifiers are long and tough\, with lots of climbing. They are similar to the classic course at Leadville in that they avoid technically demanding single track trails and consist mainly of rugged jeep roads of gravel and dirt. DESCRIPTION:The course traverses some of the most scenic terrain available in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The 48 mile race starts in downtown Negaunee\, which is the “birthplace” of iron ore in Michigan. The first mile will be a roll-out on pavement\, and then the race will hit the dirt as you make your way to Ishpeming. There you will detour through downtown and travel the city streets for another mile. Then you’re back on the trails. The course will roll with the hills as you gradually drop in elevation to Marquette. You will be captivated as you pass by the lakes\, rivers\, ponds\, and wildlife along the way.

DESCRIPTION:Dirty Kanza Promotions was founded in 2006 by Jim Cummins\, with the assistance of fellow cycling enthusiast Joel Dyke. At that time\, gravel grinding was just beginning to catch the interest of the endurance cycling community. However\, Jim had grown up in the Flint Hills of east central Kansas and had been riding gravel for decades. Inspired by some of the early gravel grinder events… and convinced the Flint Hills had the best gravel to be found anywhere in the world\, Jim and Joel decided to create Dirty Kanza 200.

SUMMARY:Snake Alley Criterium
DESCRIPTION:The Snake Alley Criterium is held on a fifteen block course\, with differences in elevation from 555 feet to 678 feet. The course is entirely on city streets in a downtown commercial area. A one block long climb is on the historic brick street named Snake Alley\, dubbed “the crookedest street in the world.” The 276 foot long Snake Alley has 5 switchbacks in a sixty foot climb. The average grade is 12.5% in that one block. Bring a suitable gear cluster for that kind of climbing. This is one of the most physically challenging races in the Midwest.  Come Race the Snake!!
