Run Day

Happy Run Day! 

To me running is beautifully simple.  After all, the only thing you need is a good pair of running shoes and you can get out anywhere.  I was introduced to Triathlons after being a marathon runner for some time.  My first attempt was extremely intimidating, but more on that another time.  For the record, I only have 3 triathlons under my belt, so by no means am I an expert.  I can only speak from my experience. Since I was training as a marathon runner, the biggest challenge for me was the transitions.  Thankfully, I found a good training program which required quite a few transition workouts.  Still, when race day came, even after all the training my legs felt like bricks when I went from the bike to the run.  What a relief though, when after a couple of miles the heaviness wore off and everything felt normal again.  Triathlons have been a wonderful experience for me and a great way to find a variety and balance in my training.  Maybe it’s time to sign up again 😊.
