It’s winter, Long gone are the warm summer runs, the cool Hikes, and the leisurely Bike rides.
Now comes the winter sports and activities. Mind you, not all of these are for the faint of heart. There are a multitude of ways to embrace the cold. Members of the Andersons Maple Syrup Family are involved in ice skating, hockey, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, fat tire bike racing, winter running, and snowmobiling. We also have someone that is involved in Ice races where she drives a smaller car around a track on a frozen lake. As you can see, we love our winter! When we are out there, we are prepped for the weather and the activity we are doing. Here are a few of our recommendations for the best possible experience.
Dress in layers – It is better to take off a layer or add a layer rather than suffer through being too hot from one heavy layer.
Go with a friend – at the very least let people know where you are going to be and when they should expect you back. Besides most things are more fun with a friend.
Have some food handy – we prefer Pure Fuel because it is in a handy container, it doesn’t freeze, and it tastes good. You can drink it straight, put it on a piece of toast, or you can add it into a beverage of your choice.
Thank you for being our sponsor!! I love using the Fuel right before/during a race and during hard work outs.
