Anderson’s Maple Syrup, Inc. is proud to support our local schools. Most recently we collaborated with one of Cumberland High School’s 10th grade English classes. Students were given the opportunity to use their skills to describe the flavor of and creative uses for pure maple syrup. Over the next few weeks, we will highlight portions of their impressive work!
Week 1 – JR
Obviously, people put maple syrup on their pancakes and waffles, but have you ever thought about putting it on ice cream? My family and I do it all the time? It is a great after-dinner treat.
I remember going to a maple syrup farm with my class in elementary school. That was where I first began to enjoy maple syrup. Seeing the process of how syrup is made was extremely interesting to my young and curious mind. From there, I had pancakes and waffles more often than usual.
The first time I had maple syrup on ice cream was when we ran out of chocolate syrup. I was hesitant when my mom told me to try it. Once I did, my mind was blown! It was like two good things in one. Even the aftertaste is phenomenal! You can’t go wrong when you have ice cream with pure maple syrup on top!
